Our Faith

WE BELIEVE…

1. …in and teach the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be the inerrant (in the original writings), inspired Word of God. 2 Timothy 3:16

2. …in and teach the Scriptural
doctrine of one true living God, who is perfect, infinite, and eternal; and who co-exists in three persons namely the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
1 Timothy 1:17;   1 Peter 1:2

3. …that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God; that He came in the flesh and took upon Himself the form of a man, being born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might redeem us through his substitutionary suffering and death on the cross of Calvary; that He was raised from the dead for our justification and is now at the right hand of God interceding for us. John 1:14

4. …that the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, whose ministry is to convict of sin, regenerate the soul, indwell and empower the believer in order that he might be a witness of the glorious gospel of Christ. Ephesians 1:13,14

5. …that man in his natural state is depraved and in need of a Divine Redeemer. Romans 3:23

6. …in and teach repentance and forgiveness of sins as a personal experience of regeneration through faith in Jesus Christ, and sanctification through the work of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 2:8,9

7. …baptism is to be administered upon personal confession and living faith in Jesus Christ. Matthew 28:18-20

8. …that Christians, individually and collectively, are salt and light in society. Matthew 5:13-16

9. …that the Church of Jesus Christ is made up of all who have personally experienced new birth through faith in Jesus Christ and that the local church should be a visible expression of this reality.

10. …in and teach the personal, visible, imminent premillennial return of Christ, the resurrection of the just, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting conscious punishment of the lost.

11. … that each church should be led by a group of local men who meet the biblical qualifications for elders (ie. elders/bishops/overseers).  Acts 14:23;  1 Timothy 3:1-7;  Titus 1:6-9
